2. Website delivery and hosting
When you access this website, your device's IP address must be processed for technical reasons so that the requested content can be delivered to your browser. The time and duration of the request, the requested resource, HTTP method, response status, amount of data transferred, and technical error data may also be processed.
The production server configuration uses a data-minimised security log that does not record IP addresses, requested paths, query parameters, referrers, or browser identifiers. Technical error logs are created only for critical server errors. Log data containing personal data is generally deleted after seven days. In the event of a specific security incident, affected data may be retained until the incident has been investigated and, where necessary, for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
This processing is necessary to provide the website securely, reliably, and without errors. Its legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are the secure operation of our online service and the prevention of misuse and attacks.
Our hosting provider and recipient of the data required for this purpose is Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Hetzner processes data when providing the server infrastructure. Further information is available in Hetzner's privacy policy.
3. Domain, DNS, and email services provided by STRATO
The domain, its DNS records, and the email mailboxes under nova-tweaks.com are provided by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. Technically necessary connection data may be processed during DNS requests. STRATO is not integrated into this website as an analytics or tracking service.
If you send us an email, STRATO, as our email service provider, processes in particular the sender and recipient addresses, time, technical transmission data, subject, message content, and attachments. Further information is available in STRATO's privacy notice.
4. Contacting us
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process your contact details and the content of your enquiry in order to respond. If your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is to process and document your enquiry.
Contact enquiries are generally deleted no later than six months after they have been conclusively resolved. We retain them for longer only where statutory retention obligations apply or where the data is required for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
5. No accounts, analytics, or advertising tracking
This website does not provide user accounts, login, registration, profiles, or payment functionality. We do not use our own analytics or advertising services, tracking pixels, or social media plugins. The website itself does not set cookies or use LocalStorage or SessionStorage. Fonts, icons, and product images are delivered from our own server.
6. YouTube video with your consent
The current landing page does not embed a YouTube player. The following information applies only if a consent-gated player is made available.
No connection to YouTube is established when you first access the website. The embedded video is loaded only after you select “Load video from YouTube”. This embeds a player from youtube-nocookie.com. For users in the European Economic Area, the service provider is generally Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
After activation, your IP address, browser and device information, referring page, player usage data, and identifiers may be transmitted to Google and YouTube. If you are signed in to Google, the data may be associated with your account. YouTube may also store information on your device or access information already stored there. We have no control over the extent to which Google processes and uses this data.
The player is embedded exclusively on the basis of your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where information is stored on or accessed from your device, Section 25(1) TDDDG. Your consent applies only to the current page view and is not stored permanently by us. You can withdraw it at any time by selecting “Disable YouTube”; the player and connection will then be removed. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Google also processes data on servers outside the European Economic Area, particularly in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. According to Google, it also uses Standard Contractual Clauses where required. Further information is available in Google's privacy policy and its information about data transfers.
7. External links
The Microsoft Store download badge loads a script, badge image, and supporting frame from get.microsoft.com when you visit the landing page. These requests transmit connection data, including your IP address, to Microsoft. Selecting the badge opens the Microsoft Store app or website and includes our website hostname in the Store link. Microsoft processes these requests under its privacy statement.
This website contains ordinary external links to GitHub, Discord, YouTube, and Buy Me a Coffee. A connection to the respective provider is established only after you select a link. You then leave our website, and the respective provider's privacy notice applies to any subsequent processing. Due to our referrer policy, our website does not transmit a referrer. Buy Me a Coffee is solely an optional way to support the project.
8. Recipients and processing on our behalf
Recipients of personal data are limited to the service providers identified in this policy, to the extent required for the respective processing. Where Hetzner and STRATO process personal data on our behalf, they are engaged under Article 28 GDPR. Data is disclosed to other recipients only where this is permitted or required by law or where you have given your consent.
9. Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have the right of access under Article 15 GDPR, rectification under Article 16 GDPR, erasure under Article 17 GDPR, restriction of processing under Article 18 GDPR, and data portability under Article 20 GDPR. Under Article 7(3) GDPR, you may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
Right to object: Where we process your data on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation in accordance with Article 21 GDPR. We will then cease processing the affected data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing or the data is required for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
To exercise your rights, send a message to info@nova-tweaks.com.
10. Right to lodge a complaint
Under Article 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The supervisory authority responsible for us is:

11. Requirement to provide data and automated decision-making
You are not legally or contractually required to provide us with personal data through this website. Without the information necessary to handle your enquiry, however, we may be unable to respond. We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling.
12. Updates to this privacy policy
We update this privacy policy when the website, the services we use, or the applicable legal requirements change. The version published on this page is the applicable version.
